50 Facts About Me

Here are 50 facts you may or may not know about me! I thought this post would be the perfect opportunity to share a little insight into my life and who I am. So here it goes!

1. My hometown is Chennai. #ChanceEyIllaChennai

2. My first and middle names are my grandmas’ names. “Stella” is my dad’s mom’s name and “Ramola” was my mom’s mom’s name. Thus my name is “Stella Ramola.”

3. My favorite genres are electronic, pop and gospel.

4. My least favorite genres are country and rock.

5. I have a really close circle. I have 2 best friends and a bunch of really close friends. I am grateful for all those friendships and they are all very special to me.

6. My favorite class in school was lunch break.

7. I started driving when I was 16.

8. I recorded my first song when I was 7.

9. I said my first story on TV when I was 5.

10. I opened my official Facebook page in 2010. Even before my parents knew what Facebook was. I was also the one who started official pages for my mom, dad, and sister.

11. I am fluent in Tamil and English.

12. I speak Tamil at home.

13. I like watching TV shows with comedy. I tend to not watch a lot of serious stuff. It has to be funny.

14. I don’t drink soda.

15. I am an introvert.

16. My favorite cuisine is Indian.

17. I like to shop at H&M, Shein, Zara, Vero Moda.

18. I like living in the city.

19. When I go to live shows, I love watching the band enjoy the music they play. Their expressions, body language and just being themselves on stage.

20. I like to go with the flow. I tend to not make long-term plans.

21. I accepted Jesus as my personal savior when I was 12.

22. I’m a horrible gift-giver.

23. If I make friends, I intend it to be long-term friendships.

24. I don’t like small talk.

25. I like getting into deep conversations.

26. I preached my first sermon in Coimbatore.

27. My mom told me she would have named me “Stephen” if I was a boy.

28. I call my grandma “Pama.”

29. I call my grandpa “Thatha.”

30. My biggest accomplishment has been headlining a concert tour in India.

31. My favorite social media platform is Instagram.

32. I had a Bible teacher in 11th grade that really inspired me to learn the outside factors that influenced events in the Bible. Things outside the Bible that impacts our way of understanding the Bible. I learned a lot in his class and I continue to research about the Bible to grow more.

33. I am an organized person.

34. I dream almost every day and I remember most of my dreams.

35. I like sleeping with the lights off, completely dark and quiet.

36. I got the 2nd rank in 2nd std.

37. I got an award for the most quiet and most famous in high school.

38. I like cardamom flavored tea.

39. The first movie I remember watching was “The Lion King.”

40. I am a night owl. I tend to work better at night.

41. I like reading memoirs and non-fiction books. I like reading about the life stories of people.

42. I was 3 months old when I traveled on a plane for the first time.

43. If I love a show, I would rewatch it 3 or 4 times.

44. When I was a child, I would get my hair cut from my dad and grandpa’s barber. Hence, the super short hair and bobs.

45. Christmas is my favorite holiday.

46. I love making Spotify playlists.

47. I know four people who were born on the same day as I was.

48. I like baking more than cooking.

49. I enjoy Indian street food (Marina Chili Beef memories).

50. I like being called by my first name - Stella.
